About Our Pastor

Our Pastor, Father William (Bill) Marrevee, hails originally from the Netherlands where he was born in 1936 (hence his accent). In 1956, he became a member of the religious community, the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (S.C.J.).

He came to Canada in 1960 and made the S.C.J. community in Ottawa his home.

In 1963, he was ordained a priest and after some more theological studies, he joined the teaching staff of the Faculty of Theology at St. Paul University in Ottawa in 1966. After that, he taught mostly in the field of liturgy and the theology of the sacraments until, in 1991, he became the Pastor of St. Mark's parish in Aylmer, Quebec where he ministered for 10 years.

In 2001, Fr. Bill moved to the eastern part of the Gatineau Diocese and settled in Buckingham, Quebec from where he served as Pastor to the Anglophone parishes of Our Lady of Victory, St. Malachy, St. Aloysius and St. Columban.

In September 2007, Fr. Bill returned to Aylmer to be Pastor again of St. Mark's Parish.
