A life of love is neither easy nor comfortable always; because it demands self-denial, self-donation, control of one’s passions. This is why so many prefer the path of selfishness. This is what we see in today’s gospel. When Christ says that we must identify ourselves with him, be with him, walk with him along the way that leads to self sacrifice for our brothers and sisters, many people preferred to leave him and to accompany him no more. However, there are some who remain firm believers and follow him and his teachings. Pray that God may help us to be one among those.
